About Isradrone

Isradrone was founded in 2016 by Tomer Zakay as Israel's first content portal dedicated entirely to the world of drones. Over the years, the portal built a strong reputation and momentum within the pilot community and the industry, and sponsored professional conferences in Israel and around the world.

In 2026, Isradrone underwent a major upgrade: the portal was rebuilt from the ground up, designed to keep pace with the rapid flow of drone-industry news and deliver the fastest, most up-to-date information to the Israeli audience, in Hebrew and English, in real time.

Tomer Zakay is one of the pioneers of Israel's drone scene. Before the field had a name, a framework or any regulation, he saw an entire industry taking shape here — and set out to build it a home.

Through Isradrone he gave a platform to writers, pilots, companies and startups looking for somewhere to be heard, and did much to bring the community around the field together. At the same time he worked to advance drone regulation in Israel in its earliest days, when the rules were still being written and the professional and public conversation was only beginning.

That same approach still guides Isradrone today: give people a platform, connect them to one another, and bring the field information it can trust.
