How it works

What NDVI is and what it reveals

NDVI is an index that computes the difference between near-infrared and red light reflected by vegetation, and translates it into a health map of the plot. Weak, diseased or thirsty zones stand out on the map long before the eye can spot them, so you can treat early and precisely instead of discovering damage when it is already too late.

Remote sensing: multispectral, thermal and plant counting

Beyond NDVI, a thermal camera detects irrigation problems and soil moisture, and image analysis counts plants and estimates germination density. Together they give the grower a full picture of the plot: where water is short, where there is stress, and where germination is weak.

How monitoring turns spraying into precision spraying

The NDVI map is the basis for precision spraying: it defines exactly which zones need treatment and at what intensity, and feeds a variable-rate application map to the spraying drone. That way you spray only where needed, which is the source of the saving in chemicals and cost.
